Infrastructure Fails One Decision at a Time
DharmOps is a data infrastructure engineering firm. We find the decisions that are about to become outages, cost overruns or stalled migrations, and help your team fix them.

Why DharmOps Chose Data Infrastructure
Nothing broke on the day the data went wrong. The failure started months earlier, with a decision that looked reasonable at the time: an index left for later, a pipeline built without checks, a migration plan that assumed a clean cutover. The technology is rarely the cause. What goes wrong is the chain of engineering decisions around it, and the data layer is where those decisions last longest, because it holds state and is expensive to unwind.
A general services firm treats the data layer as one skill among many. DharmOps chose depth over breadth. We are built around data infrastructure first: the databases, pipelines, platforms and reliability practices your data runs on, across PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server and the cloud. We measure our work by what your team can do after we leave that it couldn't before.
What We Believe About Infrastructure
Five positions that shape every assessment we run and every recommendation we make.
Infrastructure is an engineering capability, not operational overhead.
Teams that treat it as overhead spend their roadmap paying for it. Teams that treat it as a capability ship faster on top of it.
Reliability begins with architecture, not monitoring.
Most outages start months earlier, when a design choice quietly raised operational risk. Monitoring only reports the consequence.
Cloud costs are often architecture problems, not pricing problems.
Negotiating rates rarely fixes a workload that scans too much, replicates too widely, or runs on the wrong engine.
AI readiness starts with data infrastructure, not model selection.
Retrieval quality, data freshness, and query latency decide whether an AI feature holds up in production.
Infrastructure should be easier to evolve than it was to build.
We judge a design by the decision your team faces in two years, not by how it looks on launch day.
How We Work as Your Partner
Every engagement follows the same order, so you know what you'll have in hand before you decide on the next step.
Diagnosis first
We trace the root cause in your actual setup: query plans, configuration, pipelines, and the access patterns behind them. You get a straight answer before you commit to anything larger.
Then a plan
A written report ranks every fix by impact and effort, so your team can execute the roadmap with us or without us.
Then a partner who stays
We ship the fixes, document the reasoning behind each change, and stay on as your data infrastructure partner as your systems and your data grow.
How We Protect Your Data
Working inside production databases is a trust decision. This is how we handle it.
Least access
Every person gets the minimum access their task needs, for the time the task needs it. Access is revoked when the work ends.
Approval before access
Access to production is approved before it is granted, and reviewed on a schedule.
Data stays where it lives
We copy client data out of your environment only with a documented reason and approval. When we do, it is encrypted, access-restricted and logged.
Deletion we verify
Copies are deleted after the engagement, and the deletion is confirmed and logged, not assumed.
Incidents follow a procedure
Security incidents are handled through a written response process, not improvised.
What changed once the root cause was found
Each engagement started with a diagnosis, not a tool recommendation.
Our Values
What you can hold us to on every engagement
Capability Left Behind
We measure our work by what your team can do without us afterward, not by hours billed.
Shared Understanding
Every change is documented with its reasoning and walked through with your engineers, so nothing lives only in our heads.
Transparency
Written findings, fixes ranked by impact and effort, and scope quoted before you commit. You always know what we're doing and why.
Long-Term Thinking
Infrastructure should be easier to evolve than it was to build. We design for the decision you'll face in two years, and stay to help you make it.

Bring Us the Decision That Keeps Getting Harder
Start with a diagnostic call. We'll trace where your infrastructure decisions are costing you time, money, or confidence, and tell you plainly whether we're the right partner.
